It would probably be enough for them at Baggeridge to be honest. The only thing they were concerned about really was the amount of cover we had. They either said we needed £2m or £5m, not sure which.

They didn't look into the in's and out's of what cover we had other than that, else they would have said no the bonfire!!!

My personal opinion on this would be not to cut corners in a place where you have the general public on both the Saturday and Sunday walking around where you are camped, especially one that's popular with kids and in the middle of the summer holiday. It's cheap enough (the cost of the camping that is), and I'm sure no one would begrudge paying an extra £1 per person to make sure everyones ass is covered to speak.
Had it been a private field where it is just 'us' lot then we've only got ourselves to blame, but Baggeridge is a very busy popular country park and there is no set area for camping as such and it's still open to the public (including kids).
Remember where we were parked last year was right next to the kids playground.
Mind you, the problem we had was the bloody adults hurting themselves in the kids playground!

At the end of the day, the onus is down to the people who have made the booking with the park and I'm pretty sure neither Shell nor Dave would want a law suit against them cos some kid tripped over on one of our tent pegs and did some damage. Rather pay a £1 extra myself rather than see people lose everything in the event of an accident.

did you say when you booked that you were from the same lot that came last year?

Thinking if you said yes, he would still assume there would be Public Liability insurance in place.

I think its best to make absolutely sure in any case. The last thing you want is for them to fuck everybody off after they've set up camp!
