Well, for one they're not taking the piss. There's no malice in what they're doing, they're only following a fashion trend and the fact that they look a bit like the racist Fernando fans is coincidental. The Spaniards are belittling Hamilton, not imitating him/his family as a form of flattery.

No, I think Mr Self Destruct is correct in what he said.

The Japanese thing (however bad it looks) is nothing racist providing it's not used to offend unlike those Spanish fans who clearly are doing it to offend people.

i agree, ive just read the report that goes with the video, which says that the craze in japan started to help them look more western, so its gone full circle!!!!!!
i grew up in the 80s with goths whitening their faces which is just as ridiculous, but its no different to someone using (bad ) fake tan or a sun bed - its a purely cosmetic effect. the bottom line is its not for white british people to say what offends japanese people, its for them to say. if someone oriental is offended then thats different.

My opinion on this might be a controversial one but i think the whole racist thing has got completely out of hand. I mean come in, its ridiculous!! People will claim anything is racist these days! Hell kids can't even sing baa baa black sheep anymore!

Too much red tape these days.

and in answer to your question, painting your face is not racist. Far from it.

also, the actions of the Spanish fans may not be racist. It's no different to when Scotland play football and people wear orange/ginger wigs. They might not even mean to be racist and are just dressing up in the same way a lot of us do at certain events. It's how they act and what they think and say which which would deem them as racists.
Had they all been wearing white cloaks and pointy hats, I probably agree with you calling the racist card though!

In a nutshell, no. Its more the intentions that offend rather than the actions themselves.
And its the confusion between the two that have lead to the fucking pc brigade banning songs like Baa Baa Black Sheep.

I see it like this. If a classroom full of kids sing Baa Baa Black Sheep, and one of the black kids takes offence, its his/her problem. No-one's trying to ostracise or belittle the kid. If however the kids start calling him/her 'black sheep' or such in the playground, or the song is sung with racist intentions behind it, then that changes everything and the kid has a valid argument for getting it banned. But if some fucking pen-pusher in an office 50 miles away suddenly takes it upon themselves to 'defend the human rights of all minority kids' and bans the song without ever hearing a single complaint, then they can just fuck off and die. Of a ruptured bowel caused by anal warts blocking their ringhole.*

* Just in case I was coming across as a bit too serious here!
