sounds like the same adjuster on my beam ( narrowed one form cool air). The best way i found of raising the suspension was to raise car and put it on axle stands ( very health and safety). Then getting a trolley jack on the adjuster and jacking it up till it the wait of the car is on it. Then when its in desired posistion tighten adjuster. Just remember to position trolley jack so you get allen key in to tighten adjuster. Still might need to take shocks off if there really short.
