golf mk2 lowering springs!

hey everyone,im new to the forum and to the vw scene so excuse me if some of my questions seem a bit thick.i drive a mk2 golf cl on an E plate.i was recently given some 60mm spax lowering springs that came off a mk2 golf gti,basically i wondered if they would fit straight onto mine?!cheers.

Yes they will, but are they gti 60mm or non-gti 60mm?
The reason I ask is gtis sit 20mm lower than other golfs, so you go to GSF and ask for 60mm lowering springs, and they'll lower a gti by 40mm.
So you'll either be ok (60mm is 60mm) or have a drop of 80mm!
Having said that, I don't know if you can get 80mm lowering springs, so ignore everything I've said after 'Yes they will'!

nice one mate.i finally understood what you meant after a couple of reads!!any amount of lower will be good though,so it doesnt feel like a boat when i go round corners anymore.haha.cheers.
