Heater channels / A-Pillars Crisis

I was planning to plate up the holes in my heater channels this weekend
But after much de-rusting, found that the rust has started on the bit that the bottom n/s door hinge bolts onto so when i open and close the passenger door the car appers to flex and the duct pipe in the a pillar is in bits. im hoping if i give the hinge a bit more strengh and plate the channels it will be ok......well at least so i can maybe do it in time for BVF and use it till winter then maybe do a proper body off job. What do you guys reckon, just start the resto now?

That looks a reet mess

I wouldn't bother trying to do a running a repair on it. And I certainly wouldnt be driving it in that state. Best bet is to repair it once, properly
