Rear Seat Belts in a Beetle

Right, first question as a newbie.
What year did Beetles start to have a provision made for rear seat belts, for instance in my 67 Viva there are bolt holes in the wheel arches and also in the middle of the car underneath the rear seat obviously for lap belts , so in order to fit inertias I would just need to strengthen the parcel shelf and mount the reel there to give me the 3 points.

Is there a similar set up in Beetles from a certain year?
This will be important as I have 2 young children that will be sitting in the back , of whichever Bug I end up with.

Any experience in fitting rear belts?

Well I may have answered my own question, as when looking on this page Classic VW auto parts, VW spares, VW accessories it would seem to indicate that you can fit inertia 3 point type in the rear from December 1971 but possibly in your case dicky mint, you may only be able to put lap belts in as your car is an earlier model. An email query has been sent to VW Heritage on this subject anyway. So I await their response.
Feel free to correct me if wrong anyone.

our 1970 1300 has mounting points for static belts behind trim you have to remove the plastic blanking screws from them.

O.K so who thinks this one Volkswagon Beetle 1966 1600cc Maroon and Cream on eBay, also, Volkswagen, Classic Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 09-Sep-08 19:33:03 BST) will have mounting points for belts in the back ?
