Well last week I was supposed to pick a new gear box up but the seller went quiet ? ?, so I had a look at sorting out some tunes and found a few dodgy wires here and there so I decided to take the dash out to get to them.
For some reason the illumination wire for the ash tray and cigarete lighter which comes from the light switch had some nasty burning along its whole length which I think was due to an oversize fuse that the previous owners must have put in, TUT TUT.
so I pulled another wire through, re-wired the stereo pos and neg, rewired the illumination lamps for the cigarette lighter and ash tray, and also fixed the small light over the passenger seat.
Also took out the old 80's speakers that were sitting on the parcel shelf, hopefully i'm gonna rig some 6x9's up underneath the parcel self somehow in the metal grid ? I wanna hear them but not see them.
I have also sourced a 16v kr engine for the bargain price of £200 with a measely low 120k on the clock so thats gonna be keeping me busy cleaning painting and installing over the winter period.
