theres always somert lol , and time will tell
just remade the propshaft ,and im 100percent happy with it , with thicker tube , nice strong stick welded , done in lathe tooto save any wooble

and found a lump of 4inch alloy tube ideal for makeing a few things for future , ie alloy turbo short runner, air intake, maybe a new side pipeideas are endless

bit morethis afternoon, trail fit of the standard bumper as im undecided wheather i like it or not , ,i might just thow those other homemade ones one for the time

then thought might as well thow the propshaft on , fits like a glove

and quick sterro pic

then thought i better chop a lump of pipe and start on the airfilter as theres not mutch room runing a 4inch pipe , im thinking i need cold air so going to chop a hole in the inner wing and one in the bonett ,thow a scoop on the bonett somert i dint want to do , but with all that turbo/engine heat , i may have to do it , im also going to run a 4inch pipe inside the inner wing , which will blow nicely into the airfilter

could you not run a cold air feed from the front piped up to the filter like lots of the barry boys do? might save the need to scoop the bonnet?

could do but the problem is i need a good 4inch of flow as theres hardy any room to fit a pipe like that , i could get a short 3inch pipe but with the headlight, boost pipe, fuel pipes , short runner , and hot radiator and fands blowing could cause problems

why not put audi style air grills in the bonnet like the old 80`s rally slags had? at least then you`d have the flat square look but holes for hot air to leave by and cool air to enter.

well hit a few problems on test run , first couldnt see the gauges as there were too low , so , a quick rip out and re instail on the top of the dash sorted that out

then im havin turbo problems , ie late spooling and too mutch eccess smoke which im sure is from the hx40 . so had to re do and make a combo (hybrid/with hx40 and a t3/14 houseing ,this should alter things nicely

but then i think thge problem isnt the turbo at fault but the angle of the return oil feed pipe , grrr , which to move this or angle this means makeing another complete manifold , so ,may be a while longer now

didnt think but i reckon this will work , first made a 12mm t3 flange

then redrilled /tapped/ground off and added a divider

then bolted it to the turbo snail , mounted and welded it on
to lift it just enoegh to get a wider return in there plus will make it better for the exhaust when the v bands arrive and ill also be able to change to run both turbos one for the road use which im fitting at mo and the other is for the track ,

welded up and fitted the turbo , and thought , shit how do i get a 19mm socket in there lol ,, thought time foe a little adapting mod ,,,,
thought ill get a allen key and weld it on the nut ,,, simple ,

fits a treat

close but bolted back up and just made another return , at a 45deg angle to 5inch down to 45deg over transforbox , and piped back into top of sump

ill have to fire it up 2moz and see if it works any better fingers crossed , heres a quick video of the old one when just reving to 3000rpm
