Hi
I didn’t think I would be doing this but needs must, me and my wife are purchasing a house shortly and the funds from my cabriolet will help us along. I’m only using it to pick my son up from my mom’s when my wife’s working a late.
Exterior:
For 23 years the body work is very good, all panels are 100% dent free. I wash the car every week without fail (2 bucket method with only megs or auto glym products). The only thing that’s up is there is some slight bubbling to the rear arches (see pics) I've had a good look at this and it is just very slight surface rust. Shes 100% solid. Inner wings, sill etc all solid. Paint is good.
16’’ Borbets wrapped in 195/40 toyo T1Rs all with around 6-7mm of tread
Cross hair head lights, smoked indicators, crystal rears, new number plates and a genuine single lamp grill fitted.
Mechanical:
Super low genuine mileage, cambelt, cambelt tensioner and aux belt changed at 79,000 with receipts. VW history up to 52,000 and then onto an independent garage. Most MOTs from new and lots of receipts. Recent mintex pads and drum overhaul. Engine and box are 100% starts first time every time and my wife has done 400 miles commuting the past month whilst her cars been off the road. It doesn’t miss a beat. When servicing the car I came to change the air filter and found it was fitted with a pipercross panel filter. For 112bhp standard it seems fairly nippy so I'm thinking its possibly had some work. Shes also been lowered using a shock and spring kit.
Interior:
Alpine CD player, retro fit electric windows (tidy and work well) 8 ball gear knob, leather door cards. The seats are the only thing that let it down and ideally want replacing. Computer all works, MPG, Oil temp etc. Also has Clifford immobiliser fitted which is nice. Original vinyl hood in very good condition, no leaks and always made water repellent with AG vinyl hood treatment. Rear parcel shelf has also been binned as it had seen better days.
Bad points: Surface rust just started on arches, chip on bonnet, seats, parcel shelf is gone.
Location:Pelsall, Jct 10 of the M6
Pictures:
Price:£2500, will take a diesel in px…vento, b3/4 estate, mk3 estate and mostly a t4 panel van. Anything to move house in really. But I 100% need £1500 my way.
