Hello. I have an obsessive dream to buy a campervan, I just don't know when I'll be able to make it come true... Thought I'd learn a thing or two from joining the forum, so I signed up
One other thing I'd really like to do is to trace my dads campervan. I have fond memories of it and I know it's still taxed. If you have seen it, please let me know. The registration is HYY874K and when last seen (in 1979) it was red and white.

Thank you for all the nice replies. I am well on the way to saving enough for a fairly good bay. It's nice having the experience of being an owner yet to come and I like looking at the vans for sale on the Internet. There seems to be quite a few early seventies (what I want) vehicles still about and I don't mind having to get some restoration done if necessary.
If the new owner was wanting to sell, getting my dads old van back would be fantastic. It's a bit spooky thinking that I could come face to face with the ol' thing again after all this time - I think I will shed a tear or two if it does happen.
Location: Coventry. A nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there!

Anyone have any ideas (sensible ones only please ) on how I might find out where my dad's old van is? I know from the DVLA site that it is still taxed and that it is probably still red and white. Has expected, the DVLA won't give me any more info.
