how long can a thread be?

we were chatting last night and wondering if people keep replying to wobblys resto thread in the SAS club bit......will it get locked befor ethe bus is on the road?

I try to lock threads at around 500 posts. It just makes things easier on the database.

So yep. Chances are the thread will be locked first
