ASDL Modems

Anybody know anything about ASDL modems? (yes I do know this is a vw forum but getting desperate!)

After having arguments with aol customer 'support' yesterday, I have worked out that the reason the connections gone down is a fault on the router.

I can connect using my old old old pc with an aol/bt modem, but when trying to install it on the new pc it reports an error, cannot find registry value "key=soft\globalspan\virata\adslvalue-drivetype". Can I enter this into the registry somewhere? how?

Driving me mad and me Dad wants his internet working again.

Are you using a Voyager 105 by any chance?
They are terrible.
