Windscreen wipers stopped working...?

So, changed the blades at lunch time thinking I was being smart in preping for the weather that's coming. Come out of work at 6. Scrapped ice off the INSIDE of screen (chuffing cold) and outside, bit of a squirt of deicer, jumed in, flickerd the wipers on....nothing.
Cold what ever mech be frozen? Could I have damaged something simply by lifting arm out to replace blades? (Couldn't hear anything straining - could it be a coincidence and fuse gone?)
ANY ideas appreciated....
Cheers

Think we need a bit more info before we can diagnose this one. Could be as simple as the blades frozen to the screen.
Is there any noise from the motor? It could be the fuse, the motor, the linkage or just the whole lot frozen. Try to check each bit at a time and you should find the fault.

could well be a fuse if you started the wipers and they were stuck to the screen

Turned out to be a fuse in the daylight. However, the mount it clips into is corroded and have had to wedge it in. Is it a big job to replace the mount?
