Aftermarket Exhausts

While making a wish list of the parts I need, started to wonder what exhaust to have.

It looks like I'll have a standard 1600 engine to get back on the road and although I have my old Thunderbird sat in the garage, that will probably be past it's best by now. Always loved the noise it made, but as I haven't driven my bug for so long am I asking for trouble with the law by being too loud. Years ago a mate always run a stinger on his Baja and never got pulled, but I can't see anyone getting away with it these days.

What are you guys using and are there any to avoid. Must admit I like the look of the CSP ones, but £600 seems a bit steep. Last time I bought a bug exhaust, I think it was a Kadron for about £35

Im using empi single glass pack. Fairly cheap (i think the are about £45 - £50) but you need a 4 into 1 header but i presume you already have one.

Its loud... very loud. and we have never been pulled.

Just make sure if you have got a 4 into 1 that it matches the tailpipe you buy.
Bugpack only fit bugpack, empi only fit onto empi etc.
