Engine and gearbox rebuild?

The 1600 engine and (I believe) original gearbox on my 1973 Devon Bay are getting tired and would do well from a rebuild/full service/once over.

Can anyone recommend anyone based in the north midlands/Staffordshire that has the knowledge of VW's to be able to do this at a reasonable price?

Any other comments or thoughts welcome!

Re: Engine and gearbox rebuild?

I'm sure someone on the forum will be able to suggest somewhere but I found this place the other day whilst having a surf. It suggests no end of companies around the country. There are also some constructive feedback which is good, hope it helps

I can recommend Jon for both engines and gearboxes, really knows his stuff and won't rip you off. I have pm'd his mobile number to you, tell him Wobbly gave it to you
