Wheels for sale - wide five Fuchs-alikes

Been doing a bit of work to the Beetle, and one of the longer term plans was to change from early wide-five wheels to later four-bolt pattern. Why? Basically I'm a hoarder and I've got a set of chrome Sprintstars and a set of genuine Empi 8-spokes, both of which will let me upgrade to disc brakes easily!

So, I'm selling the American Eagle Fuchs-style wheels that are on the car at the moment, and have been since it was built. They won't come with tyres, but will come with centre caps (MWS centres with Bugpack Porsche decals) and the correct style mag-nuts and studs for the wheels. They will fit onto any 5 bolt VW ('67 and earlier Beetle except 1500, '66 and earlier Ghia, '70 and earlier Bus, not sure about Type 3s!).

I'm looking for £300 for the set - these are far rarer than BRM's, Empi 5's etc - I know of only a handful of cars running these wheels in the UK!

Good luck with the sale - can't see them hanging around long for that price

Anything can be made to fit with a big enough hammer... CSP front disc kit in wide five, 68-70 rear drums, job done!

Thanks Steve! I did pay more for them when I bought them about 10 years ago, but I just need them gone really. I used the standard ali ones from their empi copies, but you have to be so careful putting them on or they'll dent! And once they're on they are a bitch to get back out again!

Hi Brad,
They will fit onto any 5-lug VW as far as I know - I've seen them on Steve Gilberts God Bus (the split panel van with the bible quotes all over it) at Dub Freeze, as well as fully polished on a Ghia and colour coded on a Type 3!

The wheels are 5.5x15's, as are most aftermarket wheels. I haven't got any close-up photos of the wheels but I could probably get some next week. The back wheels have no marks at all, but the fronts have some scratch marks around the edge - they'll sand out easily enough when the tyres are off though.
