Raclet Azure Trailer Tent Project £50
Location : Coventry

I have finally admitted I am not going to get time to do this and it's taking up storage space at the moment which is holding up my beetle resto.

Its a good few years old...late 80's/early 90's I think, but its all complete...including tent, cooker, sink, even the correct foam mattresses which have been stored indoors so are in good nick (some of our house guests have slept on them!)

It will need a few small bits replacing, like some of the lights and the plug for the towbar, and could do with repainting on the outside....but the major job is replacing all the wood. We have removed the floor which was chipboard and properly rotten and sanded back and hammerited the chassis. I have all the metalwork bits and pieces which have been removed.

I towed it 5 miles or so the other week to my lockup without any problems, the tyres keep pressure ok (spare tyre included), and there's no other mechanical problems that i'm aware of.

If you worked quickly you could have it up and running in a weekend, but I haven't got the time or inclination for it any more.

Looking for £50 for it. Collection from Coventry.

Sorry the pics are crap.....couldn't face lifting the old beetle chassis off the top by myself!

Canvas is spot on as far as I know- it's always been stored in the house. Hopefully will have the time to get it out at the weekend and have a good look. Its a 4 birth....two double beds. Its difficult to explain, but basically the beds fold out either side of the trailer and sit on raised legs.

Nowhere near as bad as it looks. If you're not bothered about the aesthetics, you'd only need a few sheets of marine ply and a rivet gun you'd have it up and running in a weekend.
