heater channel flaps and running boards

I could do with a pair of the metal flaps that go next to your feet in the channels that you close to stop the hot air going on your feet and it directs it up to the windscreen!!, I have the plastic housing, could just do with the 2 flaps, but will buy the whole unit if cheap enough!!

also I have 2 good condition stainless steel running boards for my 1972 1300 beetle, but i want to swop them for smooth ones that can be painted, or even smooth with the louvers at the front?? anyone interested?

Also, want advise lol, dropping my beetle at the front, if I buy some dropped spindles, what else do i need to buy/renew? its had a brake disc conversion, and the spindles are on sale at the mion for 180, would i need any other components? and how easy it is to do?

cheers

john

Re: heater channel flaps and running boards

For your lowering you won't need anything else in theory but you may find you wreck the balljoint or track rod end rubbers trying to get them out.
