New meet venue?

As the swan is no longer run by greybeck n curently being re-furbished, wondered if any one has any suggestions for a temp or new venue for the meets??

I did not get to the first one at the " moat house " and was wondering how everyone found it?

The parking is really ample, but what about the cost of the beer or food?

Another place i saw viewing the old thread was the centurion? off the A5 at wilnecote ( buggybandit could walk from there) just kiddin andy xx

POst here any ideas or replies.

Ellen n Andy ( Tdc )

Well hello y'all, it's been a while!!!!
To sum up my period of missing-ness;
Child birth (wife not me) 22 dec,
3 year old coping with house move, new school, new brother,
dropped laptop and broke mains hook up part,
all of which meant i couldnt get on here or come out to play!!

Also got cut off by 3 and sky so had no telecoms. must remember to pay bills in future.

Right now to the business in hand.
When we met at the Moat House I dont know if anyone else found it a bit cold on the welcome front. Have never eaten there so am unsure of menu or pricing on food, drink prices were not too bad car park is large, but inside didnt seem that big.

The centurion is a good idea as it has ample car parking, pub prices and great food at a decent price also it has been re-fitted.
The other major bonus is that it is right by the A5/M42 junction so would serve as an ideal meeting point for show cruises and would be easy to find for any out of area visitors.
Also as Ellen quite rightly points out I could walk there!!

My vote is for the Centurion

We could try Friday the 29th, evening meet as a trial for summer meets, after all it's only once every 4 years we get a 29th of February so why not abuse it!!!

Come on peeps, need your feedback.

Andy.
