Don't matter what you do to a gay window bus , It still never looks as good as a splitty !!!!!
My advice for buying one anyway.......which was the point of the thread....
Is dont just buy one for £8000 coz you have £8000 and wanna buy a splitty. I spent 9 months and looked at loads of shit ones before I bought mine. Coz its the bollox. its not perfect by a long shot, but it was everything I wanted/needed from a bus. Its my first bus and my daily driver (when it works) but I've gone from being a complete novice to learning enough to get by since crimbo just gone.

Yup

We looked at loads and finally got ours a week ago today. We used to own a gay window which we loved but was no where near as sexy as our brand new splitty. Just another££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ to spend to customiser her to our camping needswhile maintiang period looks and fantastic sound and vision system!

Go with your heart at the end of the day that way you can cope with spending all the money you will do over the years! But what love comes cheap???????????????

The only local parson I know is an expert on the son of god, not the spawn of hitler

My advise is look at as many busses as humanly possible, no bus will be perfect for you so its a process of what will cost you the least amount of money to get you what you want, ie if you want a fully loaded camper buy a dry bus with a strong engine and budget £600 or so for the interior. Dont be lulled by pretty fixtures, it can happen
