VW type 25 or type 3 converted panel van

this van is a completley custom van it has been extensivly restored and there is not an ounce of rust on this van it is mint is has some damage to the back rear quarter which is a result of me being stupid and reversing it into my bay window i have been quoted £200 to repair it which is a good price and i will also pass on the number of the garage who has offered that price. this van was fully restored a year ago and has been my daily ever since it is reliable as it has a puegeot 2 litre turbo deisel engine conversion in the back. i have listed all of the specifics below there are a few problems with the van but these are minor the van is taxed and mot's until feb 08. this van with a bit more work will be a show winner it is the ultimate type 25. the van is not for sale with the alloys although i will be willing to negotiate a price for them which will be more than fair. i am only selling this van due to wanting to get my bay and my beetle finished and also i need a type 4 for work purposes this van is to nice to be using on building sites i would also be willing to part ex on a type 4. i just havnt got the time to finish the small remainding work that is left on this van i have got to much work on the go at the moment as i am working as well as running my own buisness. the van flew through the last MOT and i expect it will do the same this time. The van can be driven away as well.

in the rear of the van there are cream vinyl leather effect panels at the bottom of the van and brown suede panels at the top and also the headliner is made out of suede the whole interior is custom made although there is no sink and cookder unit but i do have one which you are welcome to purchase sepratly to the auction

you really will not find another van like this one its special a real one off and im gutted to be selling it but unfortunatly ive reached that inevitable point of having to be practical and sensible which sucks

no curtains but i will supply you with a set of home made thermo mats for the windows

thrust bearing is on its way out not a big job as this van you can take the gear box out instead of the engine

damage to body work rear drivers side quarter panel as i mentioned above i have been quoted £200 to fix

the thermostat does not work as it is a puegeot temp sender all you need to do is purchase a standard vw type 25 sender and drill and re tap the thread on the water pump and plug in the to sender wires which are tied up in the engine bay i can show this to you again not a big job however the fan is linked to a switch on the dashboard i allways just turn the fan on in a que of traffic and have never had any over heating problems

the van will come with no stereo or speakers as i will need them for my next van

the tsarter motor has started playing up this is just a standard puegoet starter motor you sometimes have to roll the van in gear to get it to go not a big job to change

small oil leak coming from the sump but nothing major



thats about everything i can think of as i said this is a special van a real head turner everyone who see's it loves it and goes mad for it. it just needs few jobs doing which wont take long then you will have a show winnder on youre hands i just dont have the time to keep this van in the state it desreves i need a work horse and this is far to good to do this. Most of the work was done by a freind of mine who restores and also buys and sells vans for a living and the rest was completed by me it has had a lot of work put into it which all together took 18 months to complete. this van really has been great and only let me down once when the glow plugs whent but that was my own fault for not replacing them when i new they were on there way out so the van comes with a new set of glow plugs. As you can probably tell there is around 400 pounds of work involved in fixing this van even less if you do it all yourself but once fixed you will have a van that is worth in excess of 6 grand as it is a such a custom van
