1968 bare metal beetle!!!

Hi,
just about finished my 1968 beetle, so is up for sale.
has been stripped right back to bare metal so it pretty ratty looking but is also solid!
1968 1300 Bare metal Volkswagen Beetle with a 1600 twin port engine
12months MOT and also TAX free!
Adjustable front beam (Sway-aways)
Good conditon body although does have a few small holes in wings (adds to character) Nothing major!
Red/White ratty looking interior
New low profile front tyres (175/55/15) Rear (165/80/15)
Domed pre 67 ratty hub caps
Pre 67 Fibreglass Bootlid With VW logo engraved (chained down for rattness) Also have the old bootlid aswel
Pre 67 wings with Chrome Sloping headlights
New Chrome trim set (will get some photos when fitted)
All black floor matts fitted
Original Wolfsburg Steering Wheel
Empi Gear shifter
Retro looking foot shaped accelerator Pedel

Is MOT'd for 12months and tax'd until the end of august!

you need to connect thoes air outlets to the heat exchangers otherwise you could cook the engine for the new owner!

What's it protected with and how much maintenance is involved in keeping it from rusting away?

well im going to see how well laquer will go with it but apart from that the only way of protecting it is to keep it in a garage(which it is stored in a garage all the time atm) when the weathers not too good. the only other way i can think of is to give a respray but at the minute i dont have the funds and to be honest i like it how it is.
I guess if laquer works with it then the only maintenance you would need to do is to just make sure its fully laquered over and then maybe keeping it in a garage when not in use.

It's called Ankor Wax and is made by Morris Lubricants IIRC - so you should be able to buy it from any of their stockists.

According to what I've read on various Hot Rod forums, it's pretty good stuff. Goes on with a brush and lasts a fair while.
