VT Garage - NEW FEATURE

Tutorial - How to use the new VT Garage.

*** Please Ensure You Have Read This Thread Before Complaining About Problems ***

What is the VT Garage ?

This is the first New Feature to be paid for by member donations. Thank you Guys and Gals

The VT Garage is a section of the forum designed to let you show off your cars and have your own online 'virtual' garage. Each user has their own personal garage and is allowed upto 10 'spaces'. These spaces are filled by adding in the details of your car\project etc. and uploading pictures for it (10 pictures per 'space')

How to use your Garage

At the top of any of the VT pages you'll see the Nav Bar.

Click the link on the Nav Bar titled "VT Garage". This will take you to the home page of the Volkstorque Garage.

This page will show you a selection of the current active garages sorted by activity data. There are also 3 links towards the top to direct you around the garages.

Gallery List

This link will take you to a page listing all the user garages held on the forum

My VT Garage Hall

This link takes you to your garage home page and shows you all of the cars that are currently stored in your garage.

Manage My VT Garage

This link takes you to the area where you can add new cars to your garage or edit the details on existing ones.

To edit or delete a car click on the buttons at the bottom of the screen next to the car you want to apply it to.

To add a new garage, fill out the fields displayed. The only required field is the "Year Make Model" field. If any of the other fields are left blank then they will just display "N\A" on the viewing page.

Once you've filled out the details, click on the "submit" button at the bottom and you will be taken to the next page.

This page automatically converts the details you entered in the text boxes into the correct format for displaying in the garage. This information is held in the "Text Description" area. Most of the time you will not need to edit this. If you do then please make sure that you understand all the code held in there properly as it can totally screw up the display of the garage if not entered properly.

Towards the bottom of the page there is a section called "Uploaded Image(s)". This is where you choose the images to display. Click on the "Browse" button and then browse your computer to find the image that you want to upload.

Image restrictions are as follows :- Max dimensions = 1280x1024, Max file size = 2Mb

If you want to upload more than one image to the car profile then click on the "Submit Upload More" button. This will upload your image and then bring you back to this screen. Simply browse angain and upload more images.

If you don't want to add any more images then click on the "Submit Done" button and it will save your cars information. You will now be taken to the viewing page for the car.

Job done.

Once again, a VERY big thanks to all the members that have donated to the forum. You've bought this one so feel proud

Now go and add some cars
