The pic on the vw parts system just shows a complete bearing

I think you'll struggle getting it in/out without a press though

Yeah you generally need about 10 tonnes to get them in or out

Found out today that we have still got our press at work, thought it had been thrown out when we moved. Take the knuckle off it you want and I'll do it for you....

hmmm...

I'm still deciding if it's worth the effort (and cost) to put it through the MOT. It only cost 75 to start with !, and I only bought it with the intention of turning it into a trailer

appreciate the offer though

I thought about stripping it out to press the bearing, but the knuckle is affectively part of the strut. I've already had to take the exhaust off, and the drive shaft, and the hub .... Havent even started on the back end yet !

Re: 86 Polo - Front Wheel Bearings

How desperate are you for transport mate?
If I got a car for £75 I'd be more than willing to do the work if it was my only car.

Re: 86 Polo - Front Wheel Bearings

Trailer it is then!
I bet if painted properly you could get a good few hundred for it too.
