eberspacher pump

hi peeps just a quick pick of the brain i have resently got a heater its a b1L and it all now works with a rewire and all the sensers work well but i an having probs with the smoke it it kicks out fills the garage in seconds i belive this is to a incorect fuel pump as if i pinch the pipe and reduse fuel a bit the smoke goes and runs quieter so i think the pump is to big and is flooding it as i can tip fuel out of it sometimes as it wont start again till i have drained it all out

the pump im running is a thomas magnete metering pump part number 89372A

does any one now the spec of this and if it is the wrong pump?

the part number for the pump i need is 20 1593 45 00 00

looking on ebay the pumps all listed seem for newer models and dont want to spen £70+ on the wrong pump

any info on either would be good befor i fit it in the 412

Re: eberspacher pump

Hi Matt, is it an oscilating pump that you are using or a rotary? The eberspacher pumps just make a tick-tick noise when running and pulse the fuel into the heater. The ones on evilbay for £70 are the right ones if they are for 1-3 kw heatersYou will be chuffed to bits when you have got it sorted, propper toasty

Re: eberspacher pump

Just gonna hijack this one,

having a right pain with my D1L at the moment. lights up and the fan spins but doesnt fire.

Tested the glow plug and it was dead, got a new one, but still no good. Tested the pump independantly and that works, the fan works but only for a few seconds,..... its getting
12v+ and worked well all summer lol

Any ideas..... could do with taking it somewhere..anyone know of anywhere???.. Dave, does this place behind fishers service/repair tham????

ta
